About the Founder of Harmony Entertainment

Shaquita Stubbs was born on the island of New Providence to Alfred and Deborah Stubbs.  She began studying music at a very early age and in 1999 was accepted to Palm Beach Atlantic University where she received a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Music Composition.  She started teaching Music at St Georges High School in 2006 where she currently serves as Subject Coordinator.  In 2013 Miss Stubbs launched the Performing Arts course and in its second year prepared seven students that aspire to study Performing Arts at Holland College. To date 3 students from the program are currently studying performing arts at Holland College and one at Berkeley. She has performed at a number of venues and private functions on the island of Grand Bahama such as Georgie’s on the Beach, The Fairy House Restaurant, Churchill’s Restaurant, Neptune’s and the Treasure Bay Casino to name a few.  She is the current Keyboardist and vocalist in the “Uppercut” band. She has done two productions with the Freeport Players Guild, where she played Miss Sherman in the 2012 production of Fame the Musical and she also played Mama in the 2015 production of Raisin in the Sun the Musical.  Miss Stubbs has a deep passion and love for developing the talents of young performers and her students are actively involved in the theater and community at large.    She loves Singing, Writing and Performing Music as well as traveling and meeting new people.  Her motto as a performer is that “She Lives to Perform” always putting her best foot forward and encouraging her students to do the same.
